The Mississippi Hills Heritage Area is bounded by the Tennessee and Alabama state lines to the north and east, Highway 14 to the south, and Interstate 55 to the west. Interstate 55 travels the approximate geographic and cultural dividing line between the Mississippi Hills and Mississippi Delta, creating an ideal line of demarcation. Highway 14 is, likewise, a logical southern boundary for the heritage area, allowing it to encompass most of the geography that is legitimately part of Mississippi's 'hill country'.
